INTER SQUADRON HOCKEY

Inter-Squadron Hockey, ST-17 was conducted from 20 Mar - 04 Apr 17. Finals of ‘Inter Squadron Hockey Championship’ ST-17 was played between Braveheart and Cheetah Squadrons on 04 Apr 17. Cheetah beat Braveheart by 4-3. Overall positions are as follows:-
 

TRAINING CAMP CONCLUDES

Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala organised two concurrent training camps named ‘Samudra-Manthan’ and ‘Varuna’ for IV and VII term cadets from 08 – 11 March 2017.
A total of 195 cadets participated in these camps, spread over four days. The camps were aimed at developing esprit-de-corps, sense of camaraderie, leadership qualities, physical endurance as well as mental strength in cadets, under conditions of stress.

INA CADETS WINS SECOND AND THIRD POSITION - CALICUT MINI MARATHON

Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala cadets swept the opposition aside in the Eighth Edition of the Annual Calicut Mini Marathon today, Sunday, 26 February 2017. The eleven INA cadets who participated in the Marathon run came in positions second to twelfth with Cadet Vinay Kumar clocking 33 Minutes 52 Seconds and Cadet Ankit Gaur clocking 34 Minutes 48 Seconds winning the second and third positions respectively.

INTER SQUADRON DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Inter Squadron Debate Championship for Spring Term 2017 on topic “Right wing politics is taking center stage in Europe, America and parts of Asia. Is this an indication of increasing fascism or increasing nationalism? Consequently does this strengthen or weaken democratic institution and politics” was held at Indian Naval Academy (INA). The event saw sharp views and equally incisive repartees between 12 debaters from all Six Squadrons who spoke for and against the topic.  

INA WATER POLO

Cheetah Squadron emerge victorious with a 12 - 05 win against Eagle Squadron, during the finals of Inter Squadron Water Polo Championship Spring Term 2017 held at Indian Naval Academy (INA). The fiercely fought game saw players from both the team jockeying for position and wrestling vigorously for an advantage over their opponent below the waterline.

MAJOR GENERAL SOMNATH JHA (RETD.) ON 12,000 KM CYCLING MISSION ARRIVES INA

Major General Somnath Jha (Retd.) VSM, who is on a 12,000 Km cycling mission across the length and breadth of the country as a tribute to all martyred heroes of the nation arrived at Indian Naval Academy (INA) today, Wednesday 08 February 2017.
He was received at INA by Rear Admiral MD Suresh NM, Deputy Commandant, INA and Commodore Kamlesh Kumar, Station Commander, Ezhimala. Major General Somnath Jha (Retd.) VSM, placed a wreath at ‘Prerna Sthal’ War memorial and observed two minutes silence.
