INTER SQUADRON ATHLETICS

Inter Squadron Athletics was conducted from 08 - 15 Jan 16. Following events were conducted:- 
Men`s Events
      (a) 100 m, 200 m, 300 m and 400 m run.
      (b) 4X100 m , 4X400 m Relay.
      (c) Pole Vault, High Jump, Long jump and Javelin.
Women`s Events
      (a)  100m and 200m run
      (b)   Long Jump
Closing ceremony of the Inter Squadron Athletics Championship was conducted on 15 Jan 16. Cheetah Squadron stood first in the competition.
 

COMMANDANT ADDRESSES THE CADETS

Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P AVSM VSM, the Commandant addresses the cadets of II – VIII term at the start of the new term ST 16. He motivated the cadets to do well in all stream and has also set various goals to be achieved by the academy during the on-going term. 

He emphasised that the cadet should put his best foot forward and remain focussed to the requirements of training. The overall aim is military grooming and the curriculum is intended to be tough and gruelling, mentally and physically. The curriculum teaches time management.

USA WINS ADMIRAL'S CUP 2015

The sixth edition of ‘Admirals Cup’ Sailing Regatta concluded on 12 December at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala with the USA team winning the Admiral's Cup with their consistent performance. China won the Runners-Up Cup and India (INA) came third. Cadet Ebrahim Showaiter of Saudi Arabia stood first in the individual position of open category (both men and women including) followed by Midshipman Gary Preto of USA and Midshipman Ahmed Abdulla Salman Dawood Sadeq of Behrain at second and third position respectively.

USA LEADING IN ADMIRALS CUP REGATTA 2015

Day 2 of ‘Admiral’s Cup’, an International Sailing Regatta at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), saw three races ( 4th, 5th & 6th)  being conducted. Cadet Ebrahim Showaiter of Saudi Arabia won two races (4th & 6th ) while the other race of the day (5th race ) was won by Midshipman Ahmed Abdulla Salman Dawood Sadaq of Bahrain.  In the overall team positions, at the end of day two, USA is leading with China and India at second and third position respectively. 

ADMIRAL’S CUP REGATTA 2015 INAUGURATED

The opening ceremony of the Admiral’s Cup Sailing Regatta 2015 was conducted at the picturesque Ettikulum Bay at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala on 9 December 15.  The event, with participation of teams from  Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Mauritius, Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, UAE, United Kingdom, USA, and India, was inaugurated by Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P, Commandant, INA in an impressive ceremony.

TEAMS ARRIVE FOR THE ADMIRAL’S CUP REGATTA - 2015

The teams from international Naval Academies arrived today at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala for participating in the sixth edition of Admiral’s Cup Regatta, a prestigious annual international sailing event hosted by the INA.  The Regatta has participation of trainees from eighteen international Naval Academies, in addition to teams from INA and National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. They will compete in sailing at the Ettikulum Bay on Laser (Radial) class sail-boats.  

CHIEF OF THE NAVAL STAFF ARRIVES AT INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY

Admiral RK Dhowan, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff, arrived at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala this morning. He is accompanied by Mrs Minu Dhowan, President NWWA and his personal staff. The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) is on his second visit after taking over the reins of the Indian Navy, and will be reviewing the Passing out Parade (POP) for Autumn Term 2015 on 26 November 2015 at INA.

PASSING OUT PARADE HELD AT INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY

At an impressive Passing-out Parade (POP) held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala here today, 330 cadets of the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard and six cadets from friendly foreign countries passed through the portals of the INA, on successful completion of their training.  This POP marked commissioning of the cadets of the 89th Indian Naval Academy Course (B Tech) and (MSc) Courses into the Indian Navy here today morning.    

CONVOCATION CEREMONY

The morning of 25th November 2015 was a red-letter day for the cadets of 89th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) of the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.  On this day they were awarded BTech degrees by the Vice Chancellor, Indian Maritime University, Chennai, Shri Ashok Vardhan Shetty, at a somber Convocation Ceremony held at INA in the presence of the proud parents and guardians of the graduating cadets.
